He robado este video del post de ZTFNews.org por que me parece chulísimo y me recuerda las horas en el laboratorio.
A miniature world of water, oil, crystal and iron.
The sea is a mixture of water and vegetable oil, and the crystals are sodium thiosulphate pentahydrate, which crystallises very quickly when melted then cooled.
The shiny black oil is ferrofluid – a suspension of tiny iron particles in oil with a surfactant to hold it together. Magnets are placed out of shot to make the spikes.
Shot on a Pentax-A 100mm macro f4 and Sigma super-wide II 24mm (reversed) on a Canon 600D / T3i using technicolor cinestyle. Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.
